New Customer Experience Centre Opens in Melbourne, Showcasing Grid-Reliability Solutions
Centre Offers Hands-On and Virtual Demonstrations of S&C’s Latest Innovations
S&C Electric Company has opened a new Customer Experience Centre at its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, to provide utility customers with an easy, interactive way to explore grid-modernisation solutions.
The Customer Experience Centre showcases a variety of innovations for bushfire mitigation, grid modernisation, and distributed energy resources integration. While the centre offers physical product demonstrations and the opportunity for customers to physically interact with S&C’s latest solutions, customers also can experience the centre online through S&C’s Virtual Network Innovation Centre, which makes these innovations easily accessible throughout the expansive Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world.
Both the virtual and in-person experiences use augmented reality, virtual reality, and 3D animation to deliver interactive, mobile platforms for customers. Customers can use their personal devices to visualise S&C solutions in true-to-life environments and leverage these technologies to help discover and evaluate new solutions.
“The way we do business is constantly evolving, and we are focused on finding ways to help our customers explore innovations to transform the grid,” said Jason Lander, S&C Vice President–Asia Pacific and EMEA. “We have a dedicated, local presence here in the Asia-Pacific region but also realise that to help customers build familiarity with new solutions, we need to make them more accessible, no matter where they’re located.”
