15 Professional Development Hours

Summary

S&C’s two-day IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter Workshop provides attendees with valuable, in-depth information and unique hands-on experience in the design, user interaction, various protection and control features, operation, and troubleshooting of S&C’s IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter.

Attendees will learn how to connect to an IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter and configure, validate, and apply settings through valuable hands-on programming and exercises. Topics include PulseClosing® Technology; the PulseFinding™ Fault Location Technique; protection settings, including bi-directional overcurrent protection; communication settings; and more. The attendees will become versed in the hardware features and practice operating IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter manually and via the IntelliLink® setup software. They will also become familiar with troubleshooting by reviewing and interpreting diagnostics, status logs, and event logs.

This workshop will allow attendees to dive deeper into the advanced features of IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupters, such as Communication-Enhanced Coordination (CEC) and Intelligent Fuse Savings (IFS). They will be able to configure a loop restoration scheme between two IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupters, learn the procedures for downgrading firmware, and perform more in-depth event analysis by downloading waveforms and analyzing in WaveWin software.

Attendees will be able to perform hands-on exercises on actual IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter units and witness a live demonstration of PulseFinding™ and other advanced features in S&C’s Product Demonstration Center. A live, high-voltage demonstration of the IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter technology in S&C’s Advanced Technology Center will also be arranged, depending on availability. This applies to the Chicago location only.

Attendees wishing to learn more specific products, such as the IntelliTeam ® Automatic Restoration system, should consider attending individualized product workshops. Organizations interested in detailed training and applications for their particular systems should contact S&C to discuss customized training programs.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion for fifteen hours of classroom participation. Attendees wishing to earn credit for Professional Development Hours (PDH) are responsible for reviewing the requirements set forth by the state board(s) where they are licensed to confirm eligibility and for reporting the hours.
